and for building automation.
The Reliance 4 SCADA/HMI system is developed based on years of experience and continuous customer feedback, making it a highly scalable, secure, and robust system. System integrators particularly appreciate its clarity and intuitiveness, while those who have switched from other SCADA systems report that application development in Reliance is 2 to 3 times faster. The developers' main priorities are user-friendliness, reliability, and system stability, complemented by excellent technical support directly from the development team.
Reliance SCADA is used daily in thousands of installations worldwide for visualizing and controlling technological processes across various industries. Its strengths lie not only in ease of use and fast development but also in comprehensive technical support. Thanks to this, Reliance has earned the trust of system integrators and users around the world.

The structure of Reliance 4 is divided into several modules.
The Reliance 4 Design development environment is intended for creating and editing visualization projects (applications). It is available in two versions, Desktop and Enterprise. While Desktop allows creating local applications for one computer, Enterprise is designed for creating network applications and displaying a visualization application in a Web browser and on a smartphone/tablet.
The runtime software is a program designed to run a visualization project on the end user's computer. It is used to control and monitor the visualized industrial process. The server modules provide data to connected clients, i.e., either to client instances of the runtime software or to the thin clients (Smart Client and Web Client).
Reliance's thin clients are intended for making visualization applications available to remote users over the Internet. Thus, the user can easily display visualization projects in a Web browser and on a tablet/smartphone.
Reliance 4 Combi Package is a keenly priced package of licenses for the Reliance Design development environment and the corresponding runtime software. It exists in two versions, Desktop and Enterprise.
The communication drivers are designed to transfer data from hardware devices to the runtime software and transfer commands from the runtime software to the devices in accordance with the device communication protocol.
OPC (OLE for Process Control) is a standard designed for real-time data exchange between a software application and process control devices. We offer several OPC servers.

In order to be fully functional, each of the software modules making up Reliance requires a license. The license is stored in the so-called license key. There are two kinds of license key – hardware and software.

A hardware key (dongle) is a small USB device containing license information. It can be plugged into the USB port of a computer. A hardware key is portable between computers. It requires a device driver to be installed before it can be used. The price of a hardware key is included in the license price. A hardware key with a Reliance 4 license can also be used with earlier versions of Reliance.
A software key is a special file containing license information and information about the computer it is intended for. As a result, a software key cannot be used on another computer (it is not portable between computers). A software key with a Reliance 4 license cannot be used with earlier versions of Reliance (earlier versions of Reliance do not support using a software key).
Info: More information on the licensing policy can be found in the article titled Licensing of Reliance 4
