Downloading and unpacking the installation file
If you already have Reliance 4 installed on your computer and you wish to update it, use the same procedure as if it were a new installation (see the instructions below). It is not necessary to manually remove the previously installed version prior to running the installation (it will be removed automatically). If you are a registered user, please download the installation files of the latest version from the Members Section.
To download the file, click the appropriate Download button in the Download section. Then, follow the instructions described in the form that appears next. If you are logged in as a registered user, the download of the desired file will start immediately. To download the file, you will need about 250 MB of free space on your hard disk.
Unpack the contents of the file (a zip archive) to any folder. To do that, you will need about 350 MB of additional free space on your hard disk. After unpacking, you can delete the downloaded file (relixxxsetup.zip).
To install Reliance, you will need at least 300 MB of free space on your hard disk. Run the Setup.exe program from the folder containing the unpacked files and complete the following installation steps:

Important: In order for Reliance to be fully functional, it requires a license key. If the development environment or the runtime software is run without a license key, it acts as the so-called trial version, which is limited to 25 data points. For more information, please go to the Licensing of Reliance 4 Web page.
Step 1: License agreement
Read the license agreement carefully. Then, activate the option I accept the terms in the license agreement and click the Next button.
Step 2: Customer information
Enter your username and organization and decide for whom you want to install the application.
Step 3: Program langauge
Select the program language.
Step 4: Setup type
Choose one of the two setup options (Complete, or Custom).
Step 5: Program installation
Click the Install button to begin the installation.
Step 6: Finish the installation
Once the installation is finished, click the Finish button. Now, you have the Reliance SCADA/HMI system successfully installed on your computer.
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features. To uninstall the Reliance 4 SCADA/HMI system, select it from the list and click the Uninstall button.
