How to install the Reliance 4 SCADA/HMI system on Windows Server 2012 R2

Before installing Reliance 4, .NET Framework 3.5 must be added as a server feature (if this feature has not been added yet). To do that, use Server Manager.

Instructions

• Open Server Manager.
• Choose Dashboard on the left.
• Click Add roles and features (this will bring up the Add Roles and Features Wizard).
• Continue by clicking Next until server features can be configured (on the left, Features will be selected).
• Activate the .NET Framework 3.5 Features option.
• Complete the wizard.

Only now can you install Reliance 4.

Note: Some parts of the Reliance 4 system require .NET Framework. This framework is part of the Reliance 4 system's installer. However, the Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system does not allow applications to install
.NET Framework – it must be added as a server feature.
