Between March 20 and 22, 2012, the Spring Gas Conference and Expo took place at the Charlotte Convention Center (Charlotte, North Carolina) and the GEOVAP company was part of it. Our presentation was focused on AVE 2 – a system designed for automatic remote data reading from gas-volume conversion devices and dataloggers, and the Reliance SCADA/HMI system. The conference was organized by the Southern Gas Association (SGA). The motto of the conference which was attended by over 500 gas professionals from the USA was "Promoting Partnership, Innovation and Employee Excellence".
Southern Gas Association (SGA) has been a cornerstone of the natural gas industry for more than 100 years. Founded in 1908, SGA set out to concern itself with technical and sales issues, and to devise by common efforts, solutions to common problems within the natural gas industry. SGA maintains long-term relationships with other natural gas organization, research institutes, and groups outside of the energy industry to provide our members with the most comprehensive information pertinent to the natural gas industry.
All activities are planned, managed, and carried out by volunteers from member companies, assisted by SGA staff headquartered in Dallas. SGA is managed by a board of directors with jurisdiction over all affairs including policy, finances, and activities permitted by the charter and bylaws.
