Since AMiT devices do not, in fact, allow for defining a digital tag, it is more complicated to define tags of such a type for an AMiT device than for other PLCs.
It is not sufficient to just set a Bool data type. For proper functionality, the so-called substitution tag (a tag of type SmallInt, LongInt), which really exists in the AMiT device, should be defined. Using the substitution tag, digital tags' values will be read/written from/into the PLC. For the digital tags contained in the substitution tag, a number representing the position on which the digital tag is located must be specified. Also, the same WID is required.
