How to interconnect the Reliance 4 system and the Mosaic development environment

June 23, 2011

If no real PLC is available, you can, in such a case, connect to a simulated PLC in the Mosaic environment.

In the Reliance Design development environment, on the Basic page of the communication channel for a desired device in the Project Structure Manager, select the Network (Ethernet) channel type. If both Reliance and Mosaic run on the same computer, enter the following IP address: "127.0.0.1". If Mosaic runs on another computer, enter this computer's IP address.

Subsequently, in Mosaic's Project Manager, select the Simulated PLC connection type and check the Mosaic PLC option.
