Visualization and control of the furnace used for testing the heat resistance of glass products at the Yıldız Cam glass factory

Yıldız Cam is a Turkish manufacturer of glass that began its retail business in 1978. In 1985, they started the wholesale business.

During the following years, the company quickly expanded its sales network. Gradually, it also expanded its production to various types of glass.

Control system

For the purpose of testing the heat resistance of glass products, a furnace where manufactured products are heated up to the temperature of 300 °C was installed at the glass factory. To monitor and control the entire process, the Reliance SCADA/HMI system is used. The Reliance system enables the operator to define a temperature curve of the testing data using well-arranged visualization screens. The data can be printed as reports. The Reliance SCADA system was implemented by our Turkish distributor, Halıcı Elektronik.
