The Reliance SCADA system was chosen by the EGC – EnerGoConsult CB company to monitor the operation of seven wind farms. The application provides a global overview and detailed views of the farms indicating wind speed, real-time output values, and daily power generation for each wind turbine or farm. Values are archived in one-minute and fifteen-minute intervals throughout the operation of the system. Current and historical data can be displayed as tables and trends or exported to Excel spreadsheets. The wind farms are operated by APB Pilsen.
The Reliance SCADA system communicates with the wind farms via GPRS using the Modbus TCP and IEC 870-5-104 protocols.
The entire system, which consists of a server and a workstation, is located in the operator's room on a local network connected to the Internet. Reliance Smart Client allows access to the system through a Web browser on a computer, tablet, or cell phone.
The application has been in operation for over six months, during which it proved to be reliable and stable, and the operator is satisfied with how it works.
