The Golden Mile is a shopping and entertainment center situated in a busy part of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. This modern six-story glass-concrete building, which was opened in 2002, is visited by up to 15,000 people daily. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of services provided not only by stores, shops, and sporting and entertainment facilities, but also by restaurants and financial institutions.

To control the shopping center's HVAC system, the IEVENT control system by IECON is used in combination with the visualization system – Reliance SCADA/HMI. Communication between the control system and Reliance SCADA is provided via the RS-485 serial link using the Modbus protocol.
