Visualization and control of the ripening process at Migros Luzern

Migros is the leading supermarket chain company in Switzerland. Migros has a unique assortment of products as well as branded goods. The great majority of customers are young families and professionally active people.

The Dutch company De Laat Koudetechniek B.V. has implemented a new system for the control of the ripening process in banana ripening rooms in the food distribution center located in the Swiss municipality of Ebikon. The Reliance SCADA/HMI system is used to visualize five banana ripening cells. The installation also included the implementation of new piping, valves, controllers, and software.
