In 2004, a new SCADA-based control system with the Reliance SCADA/HMI system was implemented in the Vimperk production plant. The unmanned operation of the waste disposal station was the main reason for the installation of the new control system. The installation was carried out by the PROTECO company.
The control of the waste disposal station is provided by a Siemens SIMATIC S7-300 PLC. The Reliance system is installed on the control computer located in the control room. Communication between the PLC and the control computer is provided over the Merz OPC driver.
