Reliance 5 thin clients

Reliance's thin clients are intended for making visualization applications available to remote users over the Internet. Thus, the user can easily display visualization projects on a computer, in a Web browser, and on a tablet or smartphone.

Reliance 5 Smart Client

Reliance Smart Client is a client of the Reliance SCADA/HMI system intended for making visualization applications available to the user via Web pages. It is designed for use with smartphones and tablets and optimized for touch control.

Generally, the client can be used for any device equipped with a Web browser. Visualization and system windows are generated by the Reliance data servers (Reliance 5 Control Server or Reliance 5 Server) as Web pages in HTML5. The client's modern and user-friendly interface adjusts to the display size on a target device and allows for convenient touch control. Reliance 5 Smart Client is a thin client – it only has some of the features of the runtime software. Among other things, it allows for displaying visualization windows with real-time data, controlling the visualized industrial process, displaying and acknowledging current alarms, displaying historical alarms/events, supporting time programs, and displaying historical data as trends and/or reports.

Reliance 5 Web Client

Reliance 5 Web Client is a program designed to run a visualization project over the Internet by remote users. It is based on the Java platform and therefore independent of operating system and Web browser. It uses Reliance 5 Control Server or Reliance 5 Server as a data server. Reliance 5 Web Client is a thin client – it only has some of the features of the runtime software. It allows displaying visualization windows with real-time data, controlling the visualized industrial process, displaying and acknowledging current alarms, displaying historical alarms, displaying historical data as historical trends and reports, and more.
