What are the minimum requirements for HW and SW to install Reliance 4?

Hardware Requirements

PC configuration requirements depend on the operating system and the size of the visualization project that you will create.

To work on common projects (about 2000 tags ), we recommend the following minimum PC configuration:

• 2 GHz procesor
• 512 MB RAM for Windows XP and older
• 1 GB RAM for Windows Vista or Windows 7
• Graphics resolution 1024 x 768 with color depth 24 or 32 bits

The complete installation of the development environment including a graphical library and runtime software requires approximately 300 MB of free hard disk space. Reliance 4 Add-On Pack, which contains the installers of software tools and third-party drivers, requires additional 400 MB of free space.

Software Requirements

All software modules of Reliance 4 can be run on MS Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2000, and Windows Server 2003. The exceptions are the following: Reliance Web Client (Web client allowing to run a visualization project over the Internet), which is designed for all operating systems on which Java Runtime Environment (JRE 6.0) is installed, and Reliance Mobile Client (client for mobile devices such as PDAs) , which is designed for Windows CE and. NET Compact Framework 2.0.

To run a visualization project at the end-user site, it is recommended that Reliance 4 be operated on Windows XP or Windows 7.
