Description of implementation:

A new Control system of wastewater treatment station for Humpolec town has been implemented in 2006 by DBD CONTROL SYSTEMS. Control of treatment processes provides TECOMAT TC700 PLC device. Implementation of new Control system including:

• Control of the preliminary treatment
• Control of primary and secondary treatment
• Control of aerating processes
• Control of sludge processes
• Control of anaerobic and aerobic processes
• Control of the waste heat boiler house
• Control of sludge disposal

Controlling of entire treatment technology provides SCADA/HMI system Reliance 3. Controlling of the treatment proccesses can be temporarily provided by Industrial Panel Computer, which is very useful feature in case of failure of the Control Computer. TECOMAT PLC device is equipped by DATABOX (secondary data memory) which is used for data collection from a technology.

Control computer with the Reliance SCADA/HMI system provides displaying of the visualization windows of the individual treatment processes. The visualization widnows are showing the states (running, failures, open, closed, preset mode, running hours), the measured values (current value, exceeding of the limit values, failures, historical databases), the alarms with recorded timestamp and power take-off (system provides turn-off priority of every electrical device of wastewater treatment plant). Reliance system also generates the Balance Sheet and Operation Log. Operation Log can be editted in the Microsoft Office. Very useful feature is the implementation of Prediction Service System. This feature helps operator to set a service interval of every electrical device.

Structure of control is following:

• Fully automatic controlling with operator supervision
• Manual controlling from remote control centre
• Hand-actuated regulation of the treatment devices

SCADA system also provides control of electronic security system. In the event of failure the SCADA system provides sending of information SMS message on any cell phone. Following the SMS message, the operator can display the visualization window and check the failure from any computer connected to the Internet. The operator can control the process or change a process parameter through the visualization if needed. The system also provides parallel data transfer over the current radiotelemetric network into the Control Center of VODAK company, which is an entrepreneur of Wastewater Treatment Plant in Humpolec.
