Department store Vagner:

Department store Vagner has more then 100-year tradition in Brno. The department store was established in 1907 by Vagner brothers. The brothers began with retail sale of stationery and grocery products. One year later, the company extends its business activity about retail sale of furniture. It's 1927 and the Vagner's company is doing well, so the Vagner brothers decided to buy a new building in Ceska street no. 18, next to the present company domicile in Ceska street no. 16. Building purchase is immediately followed up by general reconstruction. After reconstruction, the new complex of two buildings was named as Department store Vagner in Ceska street 16/18.

In 1948 is the department store nationalized. During the period of communism in the Czech Republic, the two national enterprises (Narpa, n.p. and Drobne zbozi Jihlava) had their shops in the Vanger's building. In 1991, two years after Velvet Revolution, the building was restituted to the Vagner's heritors. The dilapidated building had to be reconstructed. After complete reconstruction which took one year, the department store Vagner was reopened again.

Description of the implementation:

In the building of department store Vagner were old and deficient heating and airconditioning systems. So it was decided to install a brand new HVAC Control system corresponding with the current standards. An old junction exchange station in the building had to be modernized as well. For reliable control of the junction exchange station was installed Tecomat Foxtrot CP-1005 PLC with Mosaic SW (integrated development environment for Tecomat devices). And for control and visualization of the new HVAC control system was installed SCADA/HMI system Reliance 4. Entire contract on implementation of the new control system in the department store Vagner was provided by two companies – ActivHouse cz, s.r.o. and S&V ProIB.

The new HVAC control system along with the Reliance SCADA provides:

• control of the steam valves of the central heating, airconditioning and domestic hot water
• control of the water heating used for central heating, airconditioning and domestic hot water, including domestic hot water reservoirs
• water pressure control in the central heating circuit, airconditioning and pressure control of domestic hot water
• control of the supply water filling system in the heating circuits
• level and pressure control of the condensed water in the reservoir
• remote control over the ID-14 operator panel
• remote control over the Internet via Reliance 4 Web Client
• transfer the alarms/events over the GSM communicator
