NOWACO Cooling Plant

NOWACO has a leading role in the distribution of frozen, chilled and fresh food products in the Czech Republic. From its two distribution depots is food distributed six times a week. Two hundred distribution vehicles taking eight hundred metric tons of products to their customers each day.

Description of the implementation:

The new SCADA-based Control System was installed during 2001. Control System was implemented to provide reliable control of cooling-machine room and cooling plant technology. Czech company PROTECO s.r.o. was responsible for complete installation of the new Control System in NOWACO cooling plant.

Control System provides:

• Reliable control of cooling-machine room (including the condensing circuit)
• Control of frozen-food storage rooms and tunnels
• Control the dispatch modes
• Archive recorded temperatures and print log sheets for health officers
• Display trends and print charts

Tecomat NS950 2B PLC device has been installed to control the entire cooling technology. These PLC devices are produced by Czech company Teco a.s. Reliance 3 SCADA/HMI system has been installed in order to provide reliable visualization and control of the cooling technologies. Visualization contains 17 transparent windows which can display cooling technologies (12 windows display cooling technology, 5 windows display parameters settings) of NOWACO cooling plant.
