In 2004, a new SCADA-based control system with the Reliance SCADA/HMI System was implemented in the Vimperk production plant, Czech Republic. The unmanned operation of the waste disposal station was the main reason for installation of the new control system. Installation was carried out by PROTECO s.r.o.
Control of the waste disposal station is provided by a Siemens SIMATIC 300 PLC device. The Reliance System is installed on the Control Computer located in the Control Room. Communication between the PLC and Control Computer is provided over Merz OPC driver. Reliance installed on the control computer is used to control waste disposal systems over several visualization windows.
