Czech company BRISK Tabor a.s. was established in 1992 by transformation of the state public enterprise Jiskra to Joint Stock Company. In the context of privatization in 1995, BRISK Tabor a.s. became a company with purely Czech capital. Since its foundation in 1992, the company has always been attached great importance to research and development. BRISK Tabor a.s. is specialized in the production of spark plugs for the internal combustion engines in cars and for the combustion engines in agricultural and forestry machines. In addition, the BRISK Tabor a.s. produces diagnostic devices and sensors for the automotive industry. Its products are delivered to more than 56 countries all over the world.

Description of the implementation:

In 2007, a general reconstruction of the galvanic line used for the zinc and zinc-nickel alloy coating was carried out by Czech company AITEC s.r.o. The reconstruction included implementation of the new SCADA-based Control System.

A new Control System with Reliance SCADA was installed after the reconstruction of the galvanic line. Whole Control System is composed of Tecomat NS950 PLC and control computer with Reliance Runtime Control software. The Reliance SCADA/HMI system obtains important data from PLC device over the Ethernet. The process of galvanization can be controlled over several transparent visualization windows created in the Reliance SCADA/HMI system. Reliance also generates important records that comply with the ISO 9001 standard. For every product, a quality record is automatically generated and printed by Reliance. The quality record becomes part of the product.

As a result of the reconstruction and implementation of the new Control System, the production capacity has been significantly increased. Moreover, it was possible to apply the requirements of ISO 9001 standards.
